Microsoft Windows 10/11 can block installing apps outside its Store. ReqEdit is not part of the Store.

To allow installing ReqEdit in Windows 10/11 follow the steps:

Open Windows Setting by right-click on the Start button and select Settings from the menu that appears.

Settings menu

Select Apps in the sidebar, and then choose Advanced app settings for Windows 11 or Apps and features in Windows 10

Windows / App / App settings

For Windows 11

In Advanced app settings, click the drop-down box labeled Choose where to get apps.

Drop down menu Choose where to get apps in Windows 11

For Windows 10

Choose where to get apps menu in Windows 10

In the Choose where to get apps menu, select Anywhere.

Close Settings. The option takes effect immediately.
